VWISH helps with locating safe affordable housing for survivors of domestic violence. Clients receive counseling services to prepare them for independent living. Counseling services include assessing housing readiness, securing appropriate documentation, and completing housing applications. Clients are also eligible to receive financial assistance with application fees and transportation to housing locations. Clients who are applying for housing and need to pay application fees may apply for assistance for up to two applications every 90-days. To be eligible for service you must be 18 years of age or over, must be a resident of Forsyth County, North Carolina, and proof of residency.
